Private Parties, Weddings and Special Events

Claudia's private concerts were featured in North Shore Magazine's Affairs to Remember—Top Ten Ideas for the Best Party Ever.

Hommel has a smooth, rich voice. She is at once sexy and sophisticated, stunning in an Audrey Hepburn sort of way, wrote Judy Marcus. Claudia's clients—usually those who have caught her act at various venues about town—have invited her to perform at large hotel galas as well as intimate house parties.

Claudia's voice has been described as "soaring" and "silvery" that "savors each poetic nuance." She can "set a mood with a turn of her head or the look in her eyes." She's got the repertoire of Josephine Baker and Edith Piaf with the class of Audrey Hepburn and the sultry kick of Ginger Rogers.
How can I thank you for last night's wonderful performance? You were amazing and you made the night everything I dreamed it would be for my mother and the whole family ...a magical night. My mother called me at 11:30 pm last night raving again and again on how this was the best birthday in her life. …You have a gift of song, a lovely personality and a way of showing how you care about others. You light up a room when you enter and it stays lit even after you leave.—Ingrid Brown

Claudia is available for parties, house concerts, wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours, bar/bat mitzvahs, holiday parties and special events. She is also able to contract instrumentalists, dancers, mimes and additional singers if a larger group is needed. Whether modest home or swanky club, Claudia creates memorable occasions with her bon vivant grace.

Consider a house concert!

A house concert is a fun and informal way to get close to the music you really enjoy.

  • It is a cross between a party with all your friends and relatives, and a concert with your favorite musicians.
  • What's required?
A living room—or social room in a library, restaurant, theatre, senior center...
    ...or garden!
  • Desired attendance: between 30 and 60 people, depending on how many you think your place will comfortably hold.
  • Ticket price: usually a $10 to $20 donation. Typically, all proceeds go to the musicians.
  • If serving beverages and food, invite friends to bring pot luck!
  • Whether you have an established series or are a first-time host, we'd love to come and play at YOUR house!

    Tales from the road:
    • At the four-star l'Auberge in Dayton, the cue for our quartet to play was when the helicopter landed with a case of Beaujolais Nouveau!
    • We're in Sidney, Ohio, celebrating the ordination of an Episcopal priest with a lot of Claudia's ooh-la-la. Bobby Schiff is at the piano, touring for the first time with Claudia. Bobby falls in love with a special guest, Natasha, and that story has a very happy ending!!
