Cabaret Goes to School

Claudia Hommel's cabarets serve as a unique complement to secondary and university programs in French, performing arts, literature, history and international studies. They are designed with curricular needs in mind. Components can include performance, classroom discussions, hands-on workshops, and master classes.

A study guide is prepared for each program to help address historical and social themes, language and literature. (See a sample table of contents)

Evening community concerts are available to complement day-time campus programs. In fact, most programs listed in Claudia's repertoire are appropriate for audiences young and old.

Take advantage of Claudia's extensive experience on stage to offer master classes to your students (from 8th grade on up). To help you prepare, read the Guidelines online. Adults in the Chicago area are welcome to join her SONGSHOP sessions at DePaul University as listed in the calendar.
